This listing is for a Vintage 2-1/2" Tall, Trophy Style Figurine depicting Captain James Tiberius Kirk taking the Captain's Chair aboard the Enterprise in Star Trek The Original Series. This item MAY be an Authentic, Franklin Mint Chess Piece. If it IS, it is PROBABLY the Federation Side King Piece and would serve as a backup or replacement. Otherwise, it stands alone as a nifty collectible.

What I CAN report approximately about the piece is:
It is Three-Dimensional, capturing Kirk in the command chair leaning forward and gesturing iconically towards the View Screen with his left hand. Integral to the casting and underlying the chair is the Timeless and Universally Distinctive Star Fleet Delta Insignia. The insignia, which is referred to by some as the "Arrowhead" is rotated 90 degrees so that it points backward in the reverse direction of Kirk's gaze while supporting the chair.
The composition of the casting is a non-magnetic alloy that is finished in Yellow Gold Tone and Bonded to a Faceted Hexagonal Colorless Crystal Base.
It is about 2.42" in Height inclusive of the base.
There is an oval shaped white sticker affixed to the underside of the base that reads "CRAFTED IN" over "MALAYSIA".
The right, rear fascia of the base of the Alloy Component is mold incised "(C) 1989 P.P.C.", for Copyright 1989 Paramount Pictures Corporation.
It weighs about 1.7 ounces.
